Asphalt production Hot asphalt compound is produced in an asphalt plant in the following way: stone material is heated, dried and mixed with bitumen according to a certain recipe, defined temperature and speed of mixing.
The company has its own modern asphalt production facility in its own plant in Ruma. The brand of asphalt plant is Gibath OHL, with capacity of 240 tonnes per hour. We produce different types of asphalt for the needs of our construction sites but also by a client’s order.
ASPHALT RECYCLE At the beginning of the 1980s, French company “ERMONT“ started producing a new type of asphalt plants with continuous process of drum mixing, which could produce asphalt compounds by regeneration from 10 to 70% of asphalt material from old roads - RECYCLING.
The process of aggregate drying develops in the direction opposite to the movement of hot gases. Burnt gases and steam generated by the drying process go down into a filter chamber having absolutely no contact with bitumen. Mixing of aggregate and bitumen takes place in a neutral atmosphere in the zone well-isolated from burner flames and free of air currents. Burner turbine separates mixing zone physically; it draws vapour away from bitumen and mixing process and conveys it to the burner for complete combustion. Recycling material (old asphalt) is thrown into the drum behind protective blades where it dries and warms up before entering mixing zone. |
